All four members of Metallica made it to Donington this year!
This was the seventh time Metallica has played Donington . . . well, fifth time if you choose to ignore 1987 and 2004 like Lars does.
This was the first time Metallica has played The Unforgiven at Donington.
When Metallica played Donington in 1995, they performed two new songs (2x4 and Devil’s Dance). Keeping in that tradition, they performed one new song this time around.
The last time Metallica played Leper Messiah at Donington was on August 22, 1987.
