  • This was the 22nd show Metallica has played in Detroit, MI (and the surrounding suburbs). The first time they played in Detroit was on February 1, 1985 at the Royal Oak Theatre on the Ride the Lightning tour.
     
  • The last time Metallica performed in the Detroit area was on October 1, 2004 at The Palace on the Madly in Anger With the World tour.
     
  • Metallica has played Detroit on the following tours: Ride the Lightning, Damage, Inc., Van Halen’s Monsters of Rock, Damaged Justice, Wherever We May Roam, Guns ‘N Metallica, Summer Shit, Poor Touring Me, Poor Re-Touring Me, Garage Barrage, M2K, Summer Sanitarium ’03, and Madly in Anger With the World. 
     
  • This was the first time in a little over ten years that Breadfan was played in Detroit. The last time it was played was during a night of cover songs on November 20, 1998 at the State Theatre.
     
  • This was the first time in almost 20 years that Damage, Inc. was performed in Detroit. It was last performed here on July 4, 1989 at Pine Knob Music Theatre.
