Show Notes

  • This was the fifth time that Metallica performed in Manchester.  They first performed here on September 17, 1986 at the Apollo on the Damage, Inc. tour.

  • It has been over 12 years since Metallica last performed in Manchester.  The last time they played here was on October 15, 1996 at NYNEX Arena on the Poor Touring Me tour.

  • This was only the third time that Turn the Page had been played in Europe.  The only other times they performed the Bob Seger classic overseas was back in 1999 on July 18th (Spain) and July 20th (Tel Aviv).

  • This was the first time in over ten years that Blackened was performed in Manchester.  It was last performed here on October 8, 1988 on the Damaged Justice tour.

  • Despite being performed over 25 times, this was the first time that The Prince has ever been performed in Europe.  This Diamond Head class has a long history with the band as it was part of the setlist of their very first show on March 14, 1982.
