Show Notes

  • This show was the first benefit concert for the Marin History Museum’s new Marin Rocks Exhibition and Music Center opening in 2010 in San Rafael, CA (our home base!).  The center will celebrate Marin County’s music heritage through displays, a multi-media theatre, and music related educational programs.  All proceeds from the sale of downloads for this show will be donated to Marin Rocks.

  • This was the first time that Metallica played in Marin County, the home of James and Lars.  The closest they have ever been to playing in Marin was on August 1 and 2, 1991 when they played the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma.

  • This was the tenth time that Battery was played in 2009.

  • This was the 23rd time that Creeping Death was played in 2009.

  • This was the 61st time that Enter Sandman was played in 2009.
